A retail and commercial building operator in Estonia required an outdoor LED display mounted on a building corner — a non-standard geometry where two facades meet at 90°. The screen needed to remain readable in Nordic daylight conditions and integrate with the existing architectural cladding.
Challenge
Standard flat LED cabinets cannot cover a 90° corner without visible gaps or structural issues. The client required seamless content playback across both faces, IP65 weather protection, and brightness sufficient for outdoor ambient light in Estonia’s climate (-20°C to +30°C operating range).
HAFOND Solution
HAFOND supplied a custom-configured P8 outdoor fixed display using 960 × 640 mm die-cast cabinets arranged in an L-shaped corner configuration:
- Pixel pitch: P8 outdoor
- LED lamp: Nationstar with MBI5124 driver IC
- Screen dimensions: corner assembly approximately (1280+3840) × 1920 mm
- Installation: outdoor fixed, corner-mount on building facade
- Protection: IP65-rated outdoor cabinet
Result
The corner display was delivered, installed, and commissioned on schedule. The client reported consistent playback across both faces with no visible seam at the corner joint. This project established HAFOND as a supplier capable of non-standard geometry outdoor installations for the Baltic retail market.
